Recognizing Student-Athlete Achievements Grades 5-12
In August of 2014, Governor Alison Eachus read an article in the AAU newsletter about the AAU Volleyball Academic All America Award. This inspired her to consider an All Academic Award for the athletes in the Middle Atlantic District. She successfully secured funding and approval for the award and the rest is history.
All Academic Eligibility Requirements
- School year grades 5th through 12th
- Member of the Middle Atlantic District of the AAU in the current AAU membership year (September 1-August 31)
- Participation in a district qualifier or a licensed AAU event in any sport
- Minimum GPA 3.8 on a 4.0 scale, other grade scales, as well as weighted courses will be calculated
Application Requirements
- Completed and printed application form
- Include any extenuating circumstances that may have impacted GPA
- Copy of final school year report card with applicant and school’s name on it
Award Notification
- Recipients receive a certificate and a personal note of encouragement and congratulations
- All awards will be mailed to recipient by August 31, 2024
