2024 Coach and Volunteer Awards

Nominations must be received by March 31, 2024. No exceptions. Click on the link below for further information.
Eligibility Requirements
Nominee:
- Must be a current member in good standing in the Middle Atlantic AAU (September 1-August 31)
- Must have served a minimum of two years as a volunteer with the Middle Atlantic AAU
- Cannot be a prior winner of the award but may have been nominated previously
Nomination Letter
- Letter(s) may be written by athletes, former athletes, parents of athletes, volunteers, etc.
- Include the name of the club if known.
All letters must be submitted by the author by email to [email protected]
Other Information
Middle Atlantic AAU officers, sport directors and previous recipients are excluded from consideration for these awards.
The committee reserves the right to award two volunteer coach or two non-coach volunteer awards.

Committee’s Criteria for Selection
When choosing an award winner, the committee will consider whether the nominee:
- Sets an example by demonstrating integrity on and off the playing arena
- Demonstrates exceptional coaching and outstanding leadership
- Possesses a rapport with and respect for the athletes, coaches, and officials
- Promotes a positive public image for the Middle Atlantic AAU
Nomination Letter
The nomination letter should explain the scope of the coach’s responsibilities, and the history of the coach’s involvement with this particular team and/or sport
